🥩Ribeye Steak: A fantastic source of various essential nutrients, including protein (~25g), B-vitamins, Selenium, Iron, Zinc, and Omega-3 fatty acids. Contrary to popular beliefs, moderate saturated fat consumption, particularly from red meat, can be incredibly beneficial to all functions of our body. Red meat, such as ribeye steak, contains other fatty acids, such as conjugated linoleic acid and stearic acid, which have been shown to aid in metabolic health and even play a role in lowering LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol), respectively.
🥛Cream Cheese: A source of dairy, cream cheese provides plenty of calcium and vitamin A to support bone integrity and immune system health, respectively. Additionally, naturally occurring milk fat helps with energy production and satiety.
🥯Whole Grain Toast: One slice of whole-grain toast provides ~3-4 grams of fiber to support digestion, and allows for slow and steady release of glucose (energy production).
🧀Mozzarella Cheese: A naturally curded dairy cheese, Mozzarella contains ample amounts of probiotics, known to improve gut health and inflammation. Additionally, its comparatively lower sodium levels and higher protein levels can be especially helpful to certain individuals with high blood pressure.
🥑 Avocado Oil: Compared to butter and olive oil, avocado oil has a significantly higher smoke point, making it suitable for high-temperature cooking such as searing. Nutritionally, avocado oil contains high levels of unsaturated fats, aiding in cardiovascular health. Additionally, high levels of antioxidants help combat oxidative stress, preventing the onset and development of chronic diseases.
